Knowledgeable in Customs processing/releasing (import/export)

Customs clearance coordination
Comply with customs requirements and manage customs duty costs to a minimal exposure; regularly conduct regulatory self-audits / compliance to the latest customs regulations; keep customs documents in proper filing, maintenance, and retention
Coordinate with the finance department and arrange payments for custom duties, and other clearing and forwarding payments as per requirements
Must be able to handle customs and shipping companies for Imports, temporary importation, and local transports
Negotiates with logistics/shipment personnel and/or government officials in facilitating licenses, permits
Review and assess all permit applications to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with local and national regulations
Liaise between project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to communicate permit requirements and resolve any issues that may arise during the permit acquisition process
Develop and implement strategies for streamlining the permit process for future projects, including establishing relationships with key personnel in regulatory agencies and staying abreast of changes in permitting procedures and requirements
Maintains all the records of importation, permit applications, including their status, deadline for submission or renewal, and any associated fees in folders with all the pertinent documents attached
Perform other task as maybe assigned from time to time by the superior and by management
