The Global Server Life Cycle Infrastructure team is responsible for the design, planning, implementation, delivery, and day-to-day services of all server infrastructure products and services. Working closely with the Global IBX teams, the Global Operations team, and the Product organizations. Driving for excellence, global standardization, scalability, and continuously improving customer satisfaction.

•  The Global Server Life Cycle team is responsible for managing multi-vendor server infrastructure platforms. The team ensures a world-class infrastructure is maintained by performing routine planned OS upgrades, refreshes, bulk installations, configuration management, migrations, and decommissioning to deliver stable and reliable services to our customers.

  Reporting to the Global Server Life Cycle Management team, this role will be primarily responsible for planning and executing Virtual Machine (VM) migrations, while also supporting other infrastructure functions such as server installations, capacity upgrades, software updates, and planned maintenance activities across multi-vendor environments.  

  Job Description:

  ·       Execute Virtual Machine (VM) migrations across multiple environments with minimal downtime.

  ·       Administer and maintain Linux-based systems supporting production workloads.

  ·       Manage and operate hypervisor platforms (Proxmox VE, VMware) for provisioning, migration, and lifecycle management.

  ·       Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Perl; Python optional) to support migration, monitoring, and routine operations.

  ·       Implement and manage infrastructure automation using Puppet and Ansible for system configuration, deployment, and scaling.

  ·       Create and review Migration Plans (MOPs) and Change Management Requests (CMRs) to ensure smooth execution.

  ·       Perform scheduled out-of-hours maintenance in alignment with change management processes.

  ·       Support the decommissioning of legacy systems, including service removal, data sanitization, and e-waste compliance.

  ·       Document and maintain accurate system, process, and migration records.

  ·       Continuously identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.

  ·       Qualifications / Experience:

  ·       Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL, or similar).

  ·       Proven expertise with hypervisors: Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere/ESXi.

  ·       Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Perl; Python a plus).

  ·       Practical experience with infrastructure automation (Puppet, Ansible).

  ·       Track record of successful VM migrations in enterprise environments.

  ·       Knowledge of change management practices (MOPs, CMRs).

  ·       Excellent troubleshooting skills in virtualized and Linux environments.

  ·       Ability to work flexible hours, including out-of-hours maintenance windows.

  ·       Strong communication and documentation skills.
