The Team Manager, Data Migration, leads the planning, execution, and delivery of data updates for migration projects across all regions. This role ensures data is migrated accurately, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting project planning, coordination, reporting, and data quality standards. The position works closely with both technical and business teams to drive successful migration outcomes.
• Lead network port data migration projects from planning through post-migration validation
• Partner with Network Engineering, Business Analysis, IBX Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and other teams to resolve data issues and improve migration processes
• Investigate data migration fallouts, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement action plans
• Maintain data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Establish and uphold data quality standards, migration procedures, and best practices
• Coach and support analysts, including new team members, on processes and quality standards
• Manage team performance, workload prioritization, and resource planning
• Provide project updates, executive summaries, and risk assessments to stakeholders and leadership
• Identify and mitigate data-related risks impacting migration projects
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data quality and operational efficiency
• Serve as the Data Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance on project readiness, tools, and processes
• Maintain and improve process documentation, work instructions, and user guides
• Work with the Data Migration Tool Product Owner to recommend system enhancements
• Oversee the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, ensuring timely tracking and return of equipment
• Use Smartsheet to manage RMA requests and identify process improvement opportunities through reporting
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, goal setting, and career development planning
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and root cause analysis
• Ability to cleanse, validate, and manage large datasets
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills
• Understanding of networking concepts, preferably in a data center environment
• Experience managing RMA processes and logistics
• Experience supporting global projects across multiple regions and time zones
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
• Knowledgeable with Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or process optimization initiatives preferred
